Yushan Forum for Innovation and Progress

“Yushan Forum: Asian Dialogue for Innovation and Progress” was initiated by the Prospect Foundation, a foreign policy think-tank. It is set to be held on October 11-12th, 2017 in Grand Hyatt, Taipei. The forum is aiming to empower Taiwan’s soft power as well as cooperation with the other Asia-Pacific countries.

The event “Yushan Forum” is all ties-in with the government’s Southbound Policy, to strengthen Taiwan’s economic and cultural ties with Southeast Asia, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The focus of the forum will be on trade, agriculture, education, healthcare, technology and innovation, international volunteering, think tank exchanges, youth leadership, and entrepreneurship.

President Tsai Ing-Wen also made the remarks at the forum. President Tsai said on Oct. 11 that the government’s New Southbound Policy is committed to forging mutually beneficial ties, generating economic growth and improving the welfare of the people in the region. They also providing exhibition for the public to understand the current development. Within this exhibition, Taiwan Halal Center (THC) showcasing Halal theme and their current platform. THC partnered with CMA, THIDA and Taipei Grand Mosque to gather all Halal businesses and products information in Taiwan.
